How to replace a Toyota Wheel Center Cap?

1.Required Materials

Take off the old wheel center cap away. You can use a screwdriver tool to prise the old caps up. If there is a professional tool, you can do it more easily. The wheel center caps I had were stuck. I found this suction cap on the end of a toy arrow worked best.

2.Prepare for Removal

First I tried getting the cap off with my fingers as others on YouTube had managed. But I couldn’t get enough grip. This suction cap worked well because it was smaller than the cap and could get a good seal. Other suction caps could come from GPS mounts, toys, etc. After only a couple of tried, it worked.

3.Remove Old Center Cap

If you are having no luck with the suction cap. Another method is to use a strong tape. Join the middle part of tape together so you have a tab to pull on (using pliers to pull is best). Clean the hub center hole. make sure the hole is no dust, no water in it before installing the new wheel center caps.

4.Install New Center Cap

This is how you stick the tape. I can’t demonstrate this in action because the tape wouldn’t stick to my caps. I tried gaffa and 3M and neither worked. I think it depends on the surface of the cap.

5.Same Procedure for All Wheels

Take the new caps to the hub center hole right, press it in front face to the hole. You finished it. Then do same to the rest 3 wheels.
