How to replace a Mazda 3 Fuse Box Junction Relay BCM Body Control Module?

1.Secure Vehicle

Open the engine compartment to access the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery with a wrench or ratchet.

2.Locate Mazda 3 Fuse Box Junction Relay BCM Body Control Module

Locate the body control module. Your factory service manual can tell you where to find it, but the module is typically behind the glove box or underneath the center console. Remove the glove box or center console by removing the Phillips-head screws and bolts holding it in place.

3.Remove Old Mazda 3 Fuse Box Junction Relay BCM Body Control Module

Use a ratchet to pull out the bolts holding the body control module in place. Push the connector clip in with your fingers, and pull the connector firmly. You will have to use quite a bit of force.

4.Place New Mazda 3 Fuse Box Junction Relay BCM Body Control Module

Install the new body control module, and insert the connector. Reinstall the glove box or center console in reverse order of disassembly.

5.Check For Vehicle

Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Tighten the cables with a socket wrench. Start the vehicle and allow it to idle for five minutes. If there are still conflicting codes, the “Check Engine” light will come on.
