How to replace a Chevrolet GMC Isuzu Oldsmobile Pontiac Windshield Wiper Control Module?
1.Materials Needed & Secure Vehicle

- Replacement windshield wiper module

2.Locate the Windshield Wiper Control Module
Generally, the wiper control module is located under the dash, but it can be found in other places as well. If you have a hard time locating the module, consult the factory repair manual for the location. Disconnect the negative battery cable using a wrench or ratchet and socket of the appropriate size. Then set the cable aside.
2.Access the Windshield Wiper Control Module
Remove whatever portion of the dashboard is necessary to access the control module. Generally, parts of the dash will be held in place using both screws and retaining clips. Remove the screws using a Phillips head screwdriver and then pull the dash panel out by hand to release the retaining clips.
3.Remove the Old Windshield Wiper Control Module
Disconnect the wiper module electrical connector by pushing down on the tab and sliding it off. Remove the control module retaining fasteners using the appropriate size Phillips head screwdriver or a ratchet and socket as needed. Remove the control module from the vehicle.
4.Mount the New Windshield Wiper Control Module
Mount the new control module in the vehicle. Install the control module retaining fasteners and tighten them down using the appropriate size Phillips head screwdriver or a ratchet and socket as needed. Reconnect the wiper module electrical connector.
5.Replace All Removal Parts
Reinstall whatever portion of the dash was removed to access the control module. Reinstall the screws using a Phillips head screwdriver and then push the dash panel in by hand to secure the retaining clips. Reconnect the negative battery cable using a wrench or ratchet and socket of the appropriate size.
