How to replace a Chevrolet Lumina and Monte Carlo Rear Brake Light?
1.Secure Vehicle
Turn the Vehicle Off. Locate & Remove the mounting bolts. Remove the lens cover screws with a screwdriver and lift off the lens cover. Gently turn the broken bulb in order to extract it from its socket.
2.Remove Socket
Remove the tail light lens. Remove the broken bulb by its socket and Acquire the appropriate replacement bulb from a local auto parts retailer.
3. Remove Old Tail Light
Locate the burnt bulb and Removing the brake light bulb. If necessary, wipe the socket out with a clean, dry rag to remove any traces of rust or debris.
4.Place New Tail Light
Apply dielectric grease and Install the replacement bulb by screwing it firmly into the proper socket and Replace the lens cover or access panel as required.
5.Rearrange all Removal Parts & Check Light
Mount brake light socket and Tighten the mounting bolts. Test and ensure that all vehicle lights are working prior to operating the vehicle.
