How to replace a Honda Accord 4D Sedan-Painted Pearl White Rear Window Roof Spoiler?
1.Locate Spoiler
Assemble the rear spoiler, including the wing brackets. Tighten the bolts holding the spoiler to the brackets carefully. Place the spoiler on the trunk where it will be installed. Mark where the holes need to be on the trunk surface with a marker.
2.Prepare For Tools
Check to make sure that any wiring and the brace structure will be out of the way of the drill. Wearing safety glasses, drill holes through the top sheet metal of the trunk.
3.Remove Old Spoiler Rubber Lip
Drill progressively bigger holes until they are large enough to accommodate the bolts that will attach the spoiler to the trunk. Smooth the inside of the holes using a small sander. Remove the old spoiler lip mounting on the rear side.
4.Replace New Spoiler Rubber Lip
Paint the inside of the holes with touch-up paint. This keeps rust from forming. Place the new rear spoiler on the trunk, preferably with the help of a friend.
5.Rearrange Removal Parts
Using washers, insert the bolts through the holes and tighten. Make sure that the spoiler is sturdy and that all of the bolts have equal pressure on them.
